The Somcan Excellent Adventure 2012 is an opportunity for our customers to win an all inclusive package for two (double occupancy accommodation) to the Riu Palace Resort in Aruba, February 19 -26, 2012.

This contest is open to all qualified customers of Somcan in good standing. The Excellent Adventure Program will commence Wednesday June 1, 2011 and finish Wednesday November 30, 2011. All sales orders placed by the close of business on the 30th of November, 2011 will be eligible for the contest.

Each level of incremental sales growth of 10% over the same period last year (June 1, to Nov. 30) will earn one entry ballot to be drawn for one of three prizes for two to the Riu Palace Resort in Aruba. Prize draw will take place on Monday Dec. 12, 2011, and the winners will be notified by a Somcan representative.

One prize will be awarded to each of the winning customers. It is at the sole discretion of the winning customer to award the prize to the employee they feel most contributed to the sales generated during the contest period.

There will be one (1) Prize available to be won consisting of a trip for two (2) to Aruba which includes: roundtrip economy airfare for two (2) (including departure tax) to Aruba from the Canadian international gateway airport nearest the winner's residence on an airline chosen by Contest Sponsor (in its sole discretion); seven (7) nights deluxe all inclusive accommodations (double occupancy encompassing 3 meals per day, plus snacks and alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages) for two (2) at the Riu Palace Resort chosen by Contest Sponsor (in its sole discretion) (the “Prize”). Approximate retail value of the Prize is six thousand ($6,000.00 CDN) based on a Toronto departure. The actual retail value of the Prize may vary, depending on the point of departure.

Without limiting the generality of the foregoing, the following general conditions apply to the Prize: (i) Prize must be accepted as awarded and is not transferable or convertible to cash (no substitutions except at Contest Sponsor’s option); (ii) all travel related to the Prize must be taken on the specified dates of Feburary 19, 2012 to February 26, 2012 (otherwise the Prize will be forfeited in its entirety); (iii) the winner and his/her travel companion must: (a) travel on same itinerary; (b) have all necessary documentation to permit international travel (e.g., passport); and (c) have no impediment to entry into the country of Aruba; (iv) additional costs or expenses not expressly stated above as being included in the Prize are the responsibility of the winner and/or his/her and travel companions, including, without limitation, any off property meals, beverages, gratuities, other entertainment, merchandise, souvenirs, local and long distance telephone calls, travel and cancellation insurance, health insurance, transportation from the winner's residence to the closest international gateway airport, and items of a personal nature; (v) if the winner does not utilize any part(s) of the Prize, then any such part(s) not utilized will be forfeited in their entirety and nothing will be substituted in their place; (vi) Contest Sponsor reserves the right at any time to: (a) place reasonable restrictions on the availability or use of the Prize or any component thereof; and (b) substitute the Prize or a component thereof for any reason with a prize or a prize component of equal or greater value, including without limitation, but solely at the Contest Sponsor’s sole discretion, a cash award; (vii) all travel arrangements relating to the Prize must be made through the Contest Sponsor or its designated agents; (viii) by accepting the Prize, the winner agrees to waive all recourse against the Contest Sponsor, and those associated with the Contest Sponsor, if the Prize or a component thereof does not prove satisfactory, either in whole or in part; and (ix) the winner’s travel companion must sign and return the Contest Sponsor’s travel companion release form indicating that they waive all recourse against the Contest Sponsor relating to their participation in the Prize, and in the case of a travel companion who is under the age of majority in his/her jurisdiction of residence, the travel companion release must be signed by that person's parent or legal guardian, who must accompany him/her on the Prize trip (and who will count as the winner’s travel companion); (iix) a valid major credit card containing an open available balance to cover the hotel security deposit will be required at time of check-in. The Contest Sponsor is neither responsible nor liable in the event that a Prize winner and/or his/her travel companion are denied entry to the country of Aruba or re-entry to Canada.
