Our premium/incentive journey began in 2000, when we decided to focus our entire business on this channel in Canada. Prior to this, we handled retail sales in Canada for a number of brand name products.
We became members of the PPPC (then known as PPAC), Promotional Products Professionals of Canada, and that opened up an entire new market for us. We continue to be proud members of PPPC, and take an active role in their trade shows, delivering seminars at their annual convention, and having one of our own sit on the Executive for the National Board of Directors.
More recently, Somcan became charter members of the IMA-CC (Incentive Marketing Association-Canada Council) in 2004. Again, we are fortunate in having representation on the Executive for their National Board of Directors.
